I decided to see if Michael's videos live up to
their promise by trying them out myself. Here's
what I found:

Overall Quality

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the
first video was the stunning production quality.
He used Camtasia Studio for the production, which
is now the industry standard for creating
high-quality screen capture video products. The
audio is near studio quality, and the graphics
are very professional. These videos were made by
someone who KNOWS what he's doing. Well done!

I also liked how Michael divided the videos up by
section, and then again by sub-section. For
example, one video is all about the subject line,
and then there are different parts of that video
that each cover a certain area of crafting a
killer subject line.

VIDEO 1 - INTRODUCTION

This video served as an introduction to the whole
course. You get to see a picture of Michael in
his every day life, and he establishes his
credibility right up front by talking about some
of his massive successes online. He even provides
proof of credibility by displaying two checks in
the amount of $50,000 and $25,000 which prove
that, when it comes to the subject of making
money with email promos, he knows his stuff.

This is a good lesson for anyone to get. Whenever
you're teaching people how to do something, it's
good to establish your credibility up front, so
that there's no doubt about whether or not you're
qualified to talk about the subject. Most product
developers either skip or minimize this step.

VIDEO 2 - BEFORE YOU WRITE THE PROMO

This video talks about some things that no other
marketer has bothered to mention. You'll learn
things like:

* The mindset you need in order to write a killer
promo

* The different tools you need before you get
started

* How to keep your emails laser-focused

* How to create an outline that practically
writes the email for you.

This was a fantastic video, and did a good job of
kicking things off.

VIDEO 3 - THE SUBJECT LINE

I liked this video, because it talked about one
of MY biggest weaknesses when it comes to writing
email promos... the subject line. The subject
line is a confusing topic, because nobody's 100%
sure what the best tactics are.

Michael breaks it down, and reveals:

* The biggest secret for writing a subject line
that makes people insanely curious.

* Techniques for personalizing the subject line.

* Mistakes to avoid when using personalization.

I was surprised to find that I was making some of
the mistakes that Michael mentioned in this
video, but now I know better.

VIDEO 4 - THE OPENING

This is where a lot of people slack off when
writing their emails. Michael talks about how
important it is to create an opening that is
conversational, and then reveals techniques and
examples on how to do that.

He also reveals:

* How to get people to keep reading your email
once they've opened it.

* How to make your opening interesting.

* Mistakes to avoid when creating your first few
paragraphs.

VIDEO 5 - THE BODY COPY

This is one of the "meatiest" portions of the
course, because it reveals techniques that are
not widely discussed on the forums, blogs, and in
most eBooks. He talks about the importance of
keeping your body copy tight and relevant, and
then reveals how you can do that. You'll also
learn:

* How to write powerful bullets that make people
curious and want to find out more.

* Simple formatting tricks for making your body
copy easy to read.

* The secret of "bucket brigade copy" and how to
use it in your email promos to force people to
keep reading.

VIDEO 6 - THE CALL TO ACTION

This is where a lot of people wimp out in their
email promos. They start out strong, but when it
comes time to ask the reader to click the link
and take action, they don't know what to say.
Michael talks about some of his favorite
techniques for making that happen, and also
reveals:

* The "magic question" to ask yourself that will
make your close much more powerful.

* The secret of the "unanswered question" and why
handling this is a surefire way to get people to
act right away.

Some people say that the P.S. is one of the most
important parts of the email, because it is often
the one thing that gets people to click the link
at the end. In this video, Michael talks about:

* Why you should including a P.S. at the end of
your email.

* The 4 different kinds of P.S.'s you can use
(this section was a real eye-opener for me).

VIDEO 8 - COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE

I loved this video, because it showed me some
mistakes that I was making that I wasn't even
aware of. Unless you're a seasoned pro, you're
probably guilty of some of the things that
Michael talks about in this video as well, and
that's why it's so valuable. I've shaved years
off my learning curve, because now I can avoid
some of the costly mistakes that I was bound to
make in the learning process.

VIDEO 9 - HOW TO CREATE FOLLOW-UP EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This video alone is going to make me a lot of
money. Why? Because I used to only send out one
email promo for each affiliate promotion I was
doing. Michael showed me in this video how
important it is to send a follow-up promotion,
and he showed me exactly how to do it. He covered
things like:

* The psychology of follow-up email promo's.

* The 2 main types of follow-up promos that make
the most money.

* How to overcome readers' objections in your
follow up emails.

* The 2 most common mistakes people make when
writing follow-ups and how to avoid them.

VIDEO 10 - HOW TO WRITE BACK END EMAIL PROMOTIONS

Every marketing guru out there says that the REAL
money is on the back end. I'd have to agree with
them, but the problem is... most people have no
idea how to set up a back end system that makes
money. This video will teach you how to set up an
automated back end that's loaded with killer
promos that make you lots of cash on autopilot.
He reveals things like:

* The big difference between regular and back end
email promos.

* How to prepare a back end promotion sequence.

* Common mistakes people make when creating back
end email promos.

VIDEO 11 - CREATING AFFILIATE EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This could be the most important video of the
entire package for a lot of people, because most
people email their list to promote other people's
products as an affiliate. Let's face it, if you
only have 3 products, can you really afford to
only email your list 3 times a year? They'll get
bored hearing about the same old products over
and over again. This video sheds some light on
how to create killer affiliate promos. Michael
reveals things like:

* The two main types of affiliate promos.

* What makes affiliate promos different than
regular promos (and why ignoring this huge secret
could cost you big money).

* Michael's favorite tactics for creating
affiliate promos that no one else is doing.

* 3 different ways to add scarcity to your
affiliate promos (this is the most important
section of the video, so make sure you watch it
over and over again).

As you can see, Email Promos Exposed really packs
a lot of punch! Most of the courses out there
offer only watered down, weak content. Not this
one! These videos are going on my "A-list" for a
long time.

I've already watched them twice, and plan on
reviewing them every couple months to make sure
that I have the principals, techniques and
tactics burned into my mind.

The Best Way To Generate Free Targeted Website Traffic

If you have a website or you promote someone else's' website as an affiliate, you need to drive traffic to it.

Without traffic, you won't get visitors. And without visitors, you won't make money, sales, get subscribers, etc. What good is a website without any traffic? And if the site is getting traffic, what good is it if it's not targeted traffic?

There are many ways to drive traffic to your site, both free and paid. But we are not going to talk about paid traffic right now. That is a totally different topic and could take hours to cover.

So, back to free traffic. Some ways of getting free traffic to your site is by Search Engine Optimization, surfing for traffic, or getting it passively.

SEO takes time and a lot of work. When you join sites that are surf for traffic sites, you have to look at other members' sites in order to earn advertising credits for your site to be displayed when another member is surfing.

The only problem with this is that although the traffic is free, it is not targeted. Everyone who is a member only surfs for the credit and very rarely even looks at the site, they just minimize their window on their PC and multi-task. So, the traffic is crap and worthless.

Now, let's talk about the best way to get free targeted traffic. It's called Instant Buzz. Instant Buzz is a service that gives you advertising credits as you surf the web like you normally would. How To Get Prospects To Visit Your Website

This takes some careful thought and planning, because you don't want to contact your subscribers too often and you don't want them to forget about you either! You can also send messages to all of your subscribers at one time. That's called a "broadcast message". These types of messages are used to announce sales, special offers, new products, new services, etc. I've known people that use autoresponders to keep up with communications for all sorts of things, such as churches, non-profits, home based business owners, team leader announcements, conference call schedules, school projects, etc.

There are many autoreponders available to choose from. I personally have used Aweber and GetResponse with great success. Both offer a free trial so you can test drive their service to see if it's right for your business and your budget.

After you've set up your autoresponder, all you need to do is get some subscribers to your list! One totally free way to do this is to search Google for some ezine directories and submit your website/ezine in those directories. You would also use a software package like Ezine Announcer to do all of this for you automatically.

Another way to get targeted traffic to your website is to use traffic exchanges. Most are free to join. You just set up an account and add your website to the exchange and start surfing for credits. The more credits you have, the more often your site displays for others that are also surfing. To find the most active and responsive traffic exchange sites, visit TrafficHoopla. Sign up for the top 5 and start surfing! This list is updated every Tuesday so you will want to make sure that you're using the most active traffic exhange each and every week.

You can always write articles and submit them to article directories. When you write articles, make sure that you put your name and website information in the resource box at the bottom. If you don't do this, then your website won't get you any traffic because the reader won't know where to go to next. Your prospect has to know where to go find out more about what you wrote your article about. These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

Five Things Women Should Know Before Starting A Business

It is becoming more and more popular to start your own home based business and women are going into a home based business just as much as men. There is much to know about starting a home based business, and here there are five important things women should know before starting their own.

First you are going to want to speak with some home based business professionals. Here is a list of persons you will want to speak with to get your business on the right foot:

1. A good accountant can show you how to set up proper book keeping as well as record keeping for taxes. A lawyer who specializes in small business can legalize your business name and counsel you on how to protect yourself from possible business related lawsuits. A casualty or licensed property agent can help you to evaluate your insurance needs. They can better narrow down specific areas that you may need additional insurance coverage. Lastly you will want to speak to a home based business coach who can help you find start up money, as well as help in areas of bookkeeping and possible future business expansion.

There are some places you can find more helpful home based business information. Your local chamber of commerce is a great location to start. Also local women’s home based business clubs can steer you in the right direction. Be sure to check your library for county business directories.

Second be sure to know exactly what type of business insurance you need. It’s best to first check your homeowner’s policy to look for possible personal home based business coverage. If this is included you can have your policy extended for this coverage. If your policy does not allow this you may find better luck speaking to an independent insurance agent.

Third piece of knowledge is to know ahead of time if you will go into a home based business on your own or with a partner. You will want to decide on either a sole proprietership or a partnership. If you go solo you are the owner and take on full responsibility for the home based business. If you choose to take on a co-owner be sure to discuss this with your attorney to discuss any preventive maintenance when it comes to your financial set up.

Fourth, be sure to have a solid idea of the cost of your home based business. Create a thorough business plan. This will allow you to know if you will need financial assistance such as a bank loan or if you will want to look for other outside investors. You can also search for government grants that are specifically created for women in business.

Fifth and final choose if your business will be run in the home or out of home. This choice also includes insurance coverage and grant information.

All of the above go hand in hand to create a solid base for your home based business. Be sure to speak to other home based business owners, and do some research. Knowledge is power when it comes to creating your own home based business. Arm yourself with all the business knowledge you can. Take some business courses or seminars. Once you have a good understanding of how your home based business is to be set up and run you will be well on your way to a successful home based business!

Even though most people liked it, one reviewer mentioned one money-saving tip-to get this book from a library. This reviewer only rated the book a 3, because it was filled with too much "common sense". However, this same reviewer did mention that the book is not in the least bit boring.

One claim made by a reader of "Debt Free by 30" indicated that the book did help that person pay off huge debts. However, it is not just the book along that can help young people achieve financial freedom. Ideas are helpful, as they can provide as a motivator.

However, it is how the principles in the "Debt Free by 30" book are applied that matter the most. This is true of any book that teaches how to achieve financial freedom. Ideas for most books regarding the improvement of finances usually come from persons who have "tried it all" and finally found what works.

Keep in mind, however, that what may work for one person may not work for someone else. That is the beauty of having so many schools of thought regarding financial freedom and success.

How People Really Become Successful in Network Marketing and MLM

Why is it that over the past decade, millions upon millions of network marketers that are seeking to have a successful network marketing business find themselves, collectively, spending millions upon millions of dollars on "how-to" training books, CDs, tapes, magazines, self-help seminars, etc.? It seems as though everyone who is serious about being successful in network marketing is trying to learn some sort of MLM or Network Marketing "secret". They do everything the books and tapes tell them to do, and they memorize all the latest network marketing terms. They follow the instructions given to them by their network marketing company and their upline, yet 95% of all network marketers never make enough money to ever be considered financially free.

The primary reason why most people fail in network marketing is because they are recruiting the wrong people. Your neighbor isn't necessarily your best bet as a business partner. Your Uncle Joe, who has changed jobs more than he changes his socks may not be your best home business partner either. Why is it that most network marketing companies teach you to recruit people into the business? Why don't they teach you how to sell the product? In most network marketing companies, you get a higher percentage of commission when you actually sell the product vs. recruiting someone into the business. Yes, if your new recruit goes "all out" and is a MLM Sponsoring Superstar, then your business will see some growth. However, it will not be long term growth because your Superstar's recruits probably won't be able to duplicate those methods. Either they won't be able to duplicate them, or they simply won't want to duplicate them.

Just last week, I called a prospect who entered her information on my web site. She was requesting information on how to recruit more distributors and customers into her home business. When I asked her how long she had been in network marketing, she sighed very loudly and told me that it is not called "Network Marketing" anymore... it is now called "Relationship Marketing" and then she went on and on about how she had joined a network marketing company 20 years ago, but never really did anything with the business side of it because her career was so much more important at the time than building a business. She then told me that now she's looking to get back into "Relationship Marketing" and wanted to know how to build her home based business as quickly as possible. She then went on to tell me that "Relationship Marketing" is a better term to use than "Network Marketing" and started correcting me on everything that I said. So, here we have a person that asked me for information on how to grow a network marketing business, yet she wouldn't stop talking long enough for me to get a word in edge-wise. Needless to say, this person probably won't ever find success in a home based business because she's not ready. She doesn't realize that she has to change in order to obtain the success that she says she wants to have. Most people are looking for a quick fix and just aren't willing to put in the time and effort it takes to truly become successful in a home based business.

Then, there are those that truly want to succeed in a home based business, and have a huge "reason why". Whether it be so they can retire early and move to some exotic location, build a dream home, put their kids through college, become missionaries to third-world countries, become foster parents, give more money to the church, and just about any other reason out there. It doesn't matter what the reason is, the first step if figuring out WHY you want to build a home based business. The next step any network marketer must logically take is figuring out if their "reason why" is big enough to really mean something. As children, we were asked the same question over and over again: "What do you want to be when you grow up?". I doubt any of us said we wanted to be Network Marketers (mainly because we had no clue what that meant). We either wanted to be teachers, astronauts, professional sports stars, secretaries, car mechanics, rock stars, you name it.

Once you figure out what you really want to be doing with your life, then you can start to put the pieces together to make that dream become a reality using Network Marketing as the driving force to your dreams. As you progress, your "reason why" will change and become more laser targeted. Nobody was born successful. They became successful. They became successful because they took the steps necessary to become better. Not better at selling lotion, lipstick, travel, phone plans, or energy drinks... they became better people which attracted more qualified people into their lives.

Before you can have a successful home based business, you must first possess 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

 ===> Intangible 1 <===

First,you must have a strong WHY.

Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box (laptop computer) that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home based business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home based business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money working from home. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start a home based business. You simply have to start one. It's like having children... You're never really ready, but when it happens you adapt and grow and therefore you succeed. This is what I call: "Making the Leap"!
